2015... AN UNFORGETTABLE YEAR... 2016 PLEASE BE BETTER BY @Brymoor

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Started 2015 with high hopes, I wanted to become one of the millionaires before thirty peeps, but God had other plans for me (Oh, one that doesn’t include me being one of the millionaires before thirty *FOR NOW* but *VERY SOON*), the plan was to have an impact in other people’s life, help the talented people around me develop themselves a plan that has so far turned out to be a great one.
During the course of year 2015 I achieved a lot (No be by my power o but na GODWIN *Although I never buy motor I still dey borrow my papa own but *VERY SOON*). The mere fact that I am alive and able to type this long story is a big achievement. In the first quarter of 2015 I sealed a PR deal with fast rising music label. Echo Music Group which houses Ajanaku and Oberz , it didn’t just end there, thanks to my very good friend and talented singer, Mbryo I officially came on the Rugged Records/Twentieth September Wears (TSW) brands as their PR expert, both brands owned by the legendary rapper, Ruggedman (I prefer to call him Ruggeddybaba anyways), still chill it gets better, Emeka (the “Happy Day” crooner) an artiste with a unique style of music gave me a shot at handling his publicity and promotions alongside my bosses (Kolawole Omoboriowo & Dammy Koolkid) at ScoopNaija. Along the line I worked on a project based on Made Men Music Group’s “The Revolution” album launch with Oba Gomez of Triple MG, King Cokes and AY Wire. Although this deals didn’t fetch me loads of cash (Make Una no go dey think sey one kain mad raba dan dey my pocket o) it got me the connects I needed to progress as a publicist at that time and of course enough cash to do form my fresh boy. In the last quarter of 2015 I was able to seal two PR deals with two really really popular Nigerian artistes (Don’t worry you will soon know them, shaar keep on reading this blog). I really appreciate all the above mentioned bosses for giving me a shot and for allowing me to develop myself, bigger things are coming our way my bosses. Now that was just the PR side of my business, now to the Blogging part (If you are reading this and you don’t really know what BRYMOOR does… permit me to tell you what the tall lanky boy does, Brymoor is a publicist, blogger, event planner, talent manager, project developer, writer, son, boyfriend, friend, brother, future father, future uncle *Except Bimbo dan give one babe belle wey I no knw* , cousin.) , in 2013 I officially started my blogging career with Jstsaying.com (Ay Wire thanks for launching me into the blogging world), then I moved to Clickvibes (we had some little itches as regards remuneration, the guy no gree pay my salary but we cool now at least we view each other snaps on snapcat) after CV worked with a couple of small relatively unknown blogs then the big break as at then came, Naijamp3s and I sealed a deal and viola I was working with one of the most visited music websites as at then and one thing led to another thing, I left that was mid 2014 this time not because they didn’t pay my salary (eez nor like they paid well anyways with all due respect to the website) instead it was cos I got a really better deal with the popular UNILAG OLODO (Olodonation.com) one of the biggest moments in my short blogging career (which is now 3 yrs+) of course I impressed him as soon as I came on board, the remuneration was on point I don’t think many blogs of equal standards pay as good as that and he ran an open system, there was freedom, I really enjoyed working with awon temi anyday, Uncle Abimbolz, Pwesh Natty, Paul (I will always respect uncle Salawu Ibrahim for that) was off Olodonation for some time because of some serious school work and I came back on again that was late 201/ early ’15 and later on I left the team sadly, and in no time I was with another great blog Trends.ng our romance didn’t last long though cos Ngtrends toasted me and I had to just follow the babe with the big boobs (excuse my language) meanwhile I and uncle Sirkenayo were supposed to work together but I had already started before the Ibadan bros could make up his mind. I had a cool working relationship with the owner of Ngtrends, Ayex who happens to be an alumnus of my school, FUNAAB. And last last I left the NGtrends team thanks to some serious issues that came up from my end then, I took a long break from blogging not until Mr Lolade the owner of Gistdomain.com holla’ed at me and in no time I was back blogging (I still work with the site not in full capacity though) and the biggest break of my blogging career so far came, 36ng.com.ng (One of the biggest websites in Nigeria and the U.S) came into the picture, I started working for them in the last quarter of 2015 till date. In summary I had a successful 2015 in my blogging career. To the event planning aspect, I had a 2015 full of experiences in this aspect worthy to note none of the events I organised flopped. Early 2015 I led the Nodge_Funaab team (Oh yeah I was made the Chief of Nodge Entertainment in Funaab in that same 2015) as we organised the very first Industry Night in Ogun state which was a massive success you can check photos on our instagram page; @Nodge_Funaab if you doubt me. Then came Sulcata Entertainment’s Miss Lasu Unveiling party (#WhoIsShe) held at the new Club D’Place Ikeja which was 100% on point, you know Sulcata always delivers (Oh I forgot to mention I also joined one of the best campus entertainment firm in Nigeria, Sulcata in that same 2015.. God bless Uncle Oraka Nvy for his support and advice always). Still on the events planning, I alongside another boss of mine, Oba Michael organised the grand opening of Club 21/7 which had in attendance, former Speaker of the House of Reps, Hon Dimeji Bankole and several other dignitaries and celebrities including Sean Tizzle, Samall Doctor et al. Moving on, I contested and won the very first election of my life. I emerged the Social Director of my University (With a landslide victory by the way) big thanks to everyone that made it happen. In that same 2015, I was nominated for and won several awards. I was nominated in more than one category for the Africa Youth Choice Awards (AYCA 2015) arguably the best Youth awards in Africa (I no win am but the mere fact that I was recognised by an international brand and I had more than one nomination, more than two sef is enough abeg, there is always a next time) , then also Scream Awards, I was nominated but didn’t win, second year in a row, then came Annual University Crest Awards (ANUCA) nominated and didn’t win (E pain me small that I didn’t win these awards but I believe better things are almost here), then at last I won an award, FOYA’15 “PR of the Year”, then AIS Ogun State Institution awards won student blogsite of the year, then FARE’15 “PR of the Year” then CXT awards after that OSCAR NG nominations came and I didn’t win. Quite alright I never buy car but have both plenty stuffs with cash I can boast of that I worked for LEGALLY and earned by myself (Not many of my age mates can boast of that). To everyone that made my 2015 a special one, I say big thank you to you, God bless you big time, lets make 2016 a more special one. Special out out to: Almighty God, my DEAR Family, Friends, Well-wishers, lovely customers, those girls crushing on me but don’t know how to tell me (If any, feel free to tell me we will figure something out *shines teeth*), to all the girls am crushing on. And to day 0 hommies, Femi Akeusola, Seun Ajetumobi, Ope Badejo (Deski), Taiwo, Malik, David (Archibald), Collins, Tiwa. I won't mention any girl's or lady's name (pick your choice) so as to dodge GOBE, but to those Girls abi Ladies that know I know they are special to me.. here's to you too (raises invisible glass cup). Before I drop my pen (Sorry carry my hand comot from keyboard), If you are reading this it means you like me and for that reason I am your biggest fan and Plenty Blessings go dey follow you go. I implore you to support all the brands I have mentioned above and my own brands listed below; B_Hype OlofofoNG Media Group (Funaab Olofofo, and other campus branches opening soon) DangVibes Dang Music Group. 2016 will be LOUD in a very GREAT WAY... AMEN
