Yes! YBNL signd singer Adekunle Gold has been crowned the new king following the unexpected release of his debut album two days go; few days earlier than the release date announced by he and his team.

In the build up to the album release I gave 5 reasons you should look forward to the GOLD album and i was't proven wrong by the extremely talented singer as he delivered a masterpiece something out of the ordinary; a break from the norm.

The 'Gold' album starts with a short intro titled 'Gold', Adekunle Gold used this track to tell his story from how it all started and how he dreamed of the success he now enjoys, the tribulations he went through, how God intervened in his life and career and how he never gave up.

The second track, 'My Life' is a feel good highlife song that depicts how haters strive so hard to bring him down and how he overcomes all that is thrown at him thanks to God. The production team of this track deserves a lot of credit for putting into good use yoruba traditional sounds and finding creative ways to make it acceptable in our modern world. 'My Life' is without doubt one of the best tracks on the 16-tracks L.P

'Beautiful Night' which is the third track on the album, places the singer in his comfort zone. Adekunle Gold changed his approach towards delivering the love song in comparison to his previously released similar songs. This switch made hearing this song really wonderful as it brought out a more refined and better Adekunle Gold.

One of Adekunle Gold's previously released songs that made the album was 'Orente' and it took the number 4 position on the list of tracks. Much can't be said on this as we all already know its 100% delightful, wonderful, pleasing to the ear. Its a great song in all, little surprise it helped cemented Adekunle Gold's place as one of the best in the industry.

Adekunle Gold changes his style a little on track 5, 'Nurse Alabere'. As usual the shinning star delivered vocally switching tempos with comfort. The production of the track is far from bad infact it is perfect. Adekunle Gold was able to infuse his lovable lyrics with the mild beat of the jam.

'Friend Zone' is already one of the most popular songs on the album. Adekunle Gold who is a good story teller, didn't disappoint on this track. The story he told on the track is one most youths wll relate to and this has made it one of the most talked about thig right now amongst them.

The 7th track on the album, 'Paradise' is one for the love birds and typical Adekunle Gold melodiously tells us his story about how comforting the love he has for his soul mate is. Pheelz deserves credit for giving Adekunle Gold something really outstabding to work with.

Adekunle Gold like Kiss Daniel featured only one artist on his L.P and that's Simi (who also mixed and mastered the album). Now this is the track everyone is talking about not only because it is the only one he featured another artist on but also because the duo of Adekunle Gold and Simi who are both wonderful story tellers, harmonized wonderfully, delivering a breath taking song, one that will stand the test of time. The song is deep and really touching. Special recognition goes to Oscar for delivering a masterpiece for this two to work with. All in all this is a great song and my favorite on the album.

Another Adekunle Gold previosly released song that made the album is 'Pick Up'. This song unlike most of his low tempo songs is one we all are familiar and wwe all will agree is a wonderful jam.

'Work' is a motivating and inspiring song that Adekunle Gold seems to use to pass a message to every one grinding and pushing out there on how important to be real with the hustle and to be even more hardworking. This is another contender for one of the best songs on the album.

Adekunle Gold told a wonderful story on the 11th track on this album titled 'Temptation' and this is one of the first tracks anyone that has listened to the album should jam to. As usual he dleivered 100 %. This song is also a strong contender for the best track on the album.

'Ariwo Ko' is a wonderfully produced song, big ups to Pheelz for a wonderful tune and Simi for the exceptional mastering, mixing and back up on the track. This is one track that lovers of good music will like for years to come.

For anyone that by now still has doubts over Adekunle Gold's vocal strength and dexterity, belive me you after listening to 'Fight For You' which is the 13th track on the album, any doubt will be dumped in the waste bin. Adekunle told a wonderful story yet again with a very interesting lyrics.

'Ready' is one of the previously released songs of Adekunle Gold that is on the album and as we all already know is out of this world.

'Sweet Me' brings out a completely different part of Adekunle Gold as he leaves his comfort zone to deliver something extraordinary, and he gelled well with Mastercraft to give us all a masterpiece!

The bonus track 'Sade' is Adekunle Gold's first official song and as we all know his breakthrough song and the gist is known by us all.

Adekunle Gold with the 16-track L.P, 'GOLD' was able to prove everyone he is here to stay for a very long time as he was able to give us tracks that will last for a very long time, thanks to excellent deliveries on each track and great lyrical and vocal strength and dynamism.

I will rate the album 90%.

God bless Adekunle Gold for giving us this exceptional body of art...
