The shoppers fled the Olympia (OEZ) mall as the Police came in to maintain peace and order in what was thought to be a shooting by 3 assailants.
“The perpetrator was an 18-year-old German-Iranian from Munich, he had dual citizenship and no criminal record from the past. His motive foe this crime is still unclear.” police chief Hubertus Andrae told reporters after the incidence.
The shooting began early Friday morning in which nine people were killed and sixteen were been injured. Among the dead people were youths, and children were not spared in the attack as some were injured.
Shoppers rushed away from the mall, some carrying children in their arms, as the building was surrounded by armed police and emergency vehicles, while helicopters buzzed overhead.
